I’m going to talk about one of my favorite topic called “Technology, Equilibrium, and Human consciousness”.
Every generation has its Leitmotif which means they have different customs and we can say that they have each and everything different from their ancestors. 19th century’s generation adopted science technology and this revolutionized the whole world and redefined the definition of “Super Power”. Basically science and technology controls the ages. Technology has advanced the world but it has most impact in means of communication which has huge impact in advancement.
Technology has provided us many advantageous things but more destructive things, and here I would like to mention about Atom and Hydrogen bombs and we saw massive destruction on Aug 6, 1945 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Countries with most advance weapons and equipments can maintain their defense, world leaders are convinced by the role of technology in development and in supremacy. The balance of power has always been revolving around the periphery between China and Europe. There was a time when globe was nearly about red but industrial revolution took place and wave of peace covered the world but in undercover it was devastating and started nasty politics in globe and Trade War started. In 1960s some Professors and Scientists of MIT started a movement to sanitize the world from Nuclear weapons but all attempts failed.
There is never a world order that has been implemented to stop the race of nuclear acquiring. It has always produced paradoxical impact. Superpowers themselves never stopped to acquire nuclear assets but they have always been worried about the nuclear assets of rest of world. They set non proliferation measures to stop nuclear expansion and promoted peaceful nuclear energy. America is very much worried about the proliferation of nuclear arms of Pakistan, Iran, and North Korea. Countries maintain balance of power by making weapons like Pakistan and India are doing for times and when they both escalate international community play role to make both parties cool.
After nuclear weapons “Cyber Technology” is the hottest topic of the world. With passage of time type of war has been changed from conventional to modern computer war. Cyber means networking. Cyber technology has been zillion times improved but it has also become dangerous because it has no limit in the modern world. In present era computing speed is faster than our imagination. We here sitting in an office can even control our spacecrafts and missions. Moore’s law has played vital role is cyber technology. Moore’s law helped in declining the cost of computing apparatus and rapidly grown the digital market. It helped in internet which is everything. Cyber tech is widely used in smart door lock, wrist watches and surveillance cameras. This is used my intelligence agencies because it can steal the information of each and every person in the world. Even the totalitarian government can’t control the misuse of cyber and unable to maintain cyber security. Cyber attacks are becoming common sometimes hackers loot millions of dollar and sometimes they steal our debit cards data and suck out our personal information including our fingerprints and facial expressions. Restructuring of cyber tech has become indispensable. Commander of US Cyber command said once “the next war will begin in cyber-space”.
Internet has theft our personal wisdom and left us on its own mercy. Internet has huge impact on our lives and modern era can’t live without it and can’t ignore its benefits because when internet sets a trend it covers the whole world’s perspective.
Henry Kissinger very fascinatingly explained the link between technology and America’s policy. He told us how world policies changed with the advancement of time and technology.
Henry used very divergent language which is never easy to understand. He starts the chapter with optimism and ends pessimistically for us.
My worthy author used logos to make us understand the politics in an easy but it would never be easy to understand the politics until someone has not jumped into it.
My author has not changed my views because I already had interest in politics and had already searched about the thing which he has written in the book, but after all I agree with him
